modern desk: made by Hooker...who is Hooker?

I wwouldn't say its a great example of modernist design, but it appears to be a hand made modernist desk. Anyone know who Hooker was?

Hooker is an American manufacturer along the lines of Lane and Bassett. The had a fairly extensive line of furniture series called "Mainline." I've seen at least 3 different desks, a credenza and 2 chair styles from this line.

just got a desk Mainline by Hooker too
and i wonder who designed it? Its different and pretty hot. Details of the handles drawers etcs are amazing. Any infos welcomed
