Picked up a number of 606 shelves and e track on a classifieds site for a great price, unfortunately it had been stored in the garden so it was in pretty bad shape, being aluminum the e track cleaned up easily, managed to salvage one of the white shelves with some t cut, the others were to far gone so had them powdercoated in the correct shade of grey / white, only £10 a shelf 🙂
Had some spare x posts from my main system and had some spare foot plates drilled by a local engineer to make them into wall brackets
Really pleased with the way it turned out will eventually hold my HI-FI and records

I could post 100 pics a week since we are in the process of renovating, but this is one of my favorite projects. We replaced the original front door which was too far gone to save. My favorite part of the old door was the label stuck on by the original owners (who bought the house in 1952) from one of those old-fashioned click-type labelmakers that said "PLEASE USE KNOCKER". They even cut the corners off the label to make it nice. We also replaced every inch of door trim and baseboards throughout the house.

Abigail
can I be nosey and ask what you did with that starburst plate around your existing doorknob?
You still have it?
Willing to ship it to east coast?

Hi Seaweed
We did keep it and are contemplating reusing it on the back door. But we might end up ripping out part of a wall to put in a big glass door. If that happens and you're still interested by the time it does, we can talk.

Was your door one that you installed windows in yourself using a kit (like the ones from crestviewdoors.com), or did you order the door from someone? I have been planning to go with something similar on my house.

It's a Crestview kit
The "Langston" with double pane glass. We were pretty pleased with the quality.

Door
Abigail, your old door reminded me of mine and while it's not the last thing I've done, I did paint it blue a while back. And that's my grandfather by the way.

A similar color blue was our other choice for our door. And gramps is cute too.
