The ones on Ebay currently state that the fitter opening is oversized, and they send an adapter. Is this the type you have seen?
edit: after measuring my lamp, the fitter size did not seem that much different, so I went ahead an ordered one of the $80 ones from Ebay.
edit: I received the reproduction globe from Ebay, and it does seem to be very nicely done.

Some recent finds
An enamel plate, stone bookends and a ceramic lamp base. Any thoughts on these items?

I purchased this Ettore Sottsass, Enorme telephone for Brondi Telefonia S.p.A. for $50.00 from a modern furniture dealer last Friday. The owner said that he thought it was worth $200.00. I suggeasted that in unused condition with original packaging that may be the case and made my offer that he accepted. We were both happy.
