I think mercedes is back on track now, for me they lost a lot of credibility, style and designwise in the eighties and nineties. I love the C-class myself.

Why
Thank you, Ball. And bj, you are so spot on with your comment on the quality control of the MB brand. I traded a 3 year old G550 (a big boxy military issue?? looking vehicle) that I never understood why I bought in the first place. I initially was sniffing around the BMW M5, as I prefer a manual transmission..but the Benz dealer was more accommodating. And as long as I keep my right foot under control on the Mercedes, the gas mileage is acceptable. I've never owned a car with over 500 hp. Simply amazing.
High octane love to all!

chairs!!!
Picked up yet another sweet floor lamp (I'm on fire!), a Nessen Torchiere, the rather Tulip shaped one. Very very handsome. I'll post a pic later

mom came by
My mother came by today and gave me a Lakeland Rural Industries hand beaten stainless steel bowl. She found this at some garage sale and thought I would enjoy this piece. She is correct.
Today I can not get the "stock" photo to load, but it is a cool piece.

THINKING of acquiring
Did any Robsjohn-Gibbings Gibby chairs have NON tapered legs??? I have always lusted after these and here is ... is...I am not sure. IT is a twin except the legs are almost NOT tapered.
SELF RESPONSE. YOu know, I don't think it is. The back slats are horizontal, and all the Gibby's I have ever seen have been vertical. Humph.

don't hate me because their beautiful...
Three very dirty Eames armchairs! A butterscotch color on a silver H base, lemon yellow on the eiffel base, and parchment on the wheel base. The yellow has a small crack that needs fixing and the others just needed some magic eraser love.
I may have jedi mind tricked the seller. She said $30 each and in my head that came to $60. I offered her $50 which she turned down, rummaged through my purse and came up with $57 which she accepted. I have never been so happy 🙂
I was at a flea market and literlly pushed my friend aside and lunged at them.

my friend
Luckily she isn't into MCM, I shoved her and gasped (!) she asked me what was going on and I said "Not Now!" I didn't want the seller to see us approaching with me giving her the rundown on why I was so excited!
It was raining hard and they were under a tarp with just their feet sticking out, but they couldn't hide from me.
