I just got this chair
which was redone in Maharam "Radiant"--a nice fabric but not a good choice for how you have to do this one. It made it harder to avoid the bagginess, I think.
Anyway, this one doesn't have a label but I have seen in person another one with a Bramin sticker. And after my exhaustive Google image search using every possible keyword, the only thing that popped up for me that looked anything like it is Hans Olsen's fried egg chair---same style base, very similar shell though of course symmetrical in this case.
Anyway, it is SO comfortable. I'm going to redo it in Maharam Tonus 122, which is an inky dark blue with green undertones. And then I'm going to keep it forever and ever, amen.
two teak "elbow" dining chairs . . .
. . . by Randers Mobelfabrik, model #69.
Not much reference material that I could find online about the design. They are obviously inspired by the Wegner cowhorn chair, although not as elegant. There's also an odd detail that I had not previously come across. The legs are bolted to the seat frame with hex-head bolts. But rather than use an embedded nut or wood screw with threaded rod, the nut is inserted from the outside and capped with what appears to be a rosewood plug of racetrack shape.
cadodream's desk
cadodream,
You recently posted a photo of a very nice desk in this thread (reposted here). I picked up the same desk a few years ago and love it. You mentioned the desk was designed for kids. This is news to me because it fits me just fine. Can you give any more info on this piece? I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks
