Nice rugs
For $3 they were a steal. I also liked the papercord bench in the third pic. Who made that?

Handsome chair. I would replace the Plycraft if it is just as comfortable.

I am thinking the
same thing on the chair, but the wife has reservations.
As for who made it, I THINK it might be by Heritage, which I THINK was associated w/ Drexel? But that is only a guess.

It's here...
Stopped in at my client's store the other day to drop off some books right as my order from December's Herman Miller sale was being delivered. Amazingly I was able to fit it all in my car with a few inches to spare. When I got home I saw that the bases I ordered for my vintage shell chairs had been delivered as well. The desk is just the right size (I was afraid it would be too small) - my only issue is that I seem to remember seeing them with the HM/George Nelson signature badge in the past and mine has none. The table is great and larger than I'd imagined as well. I was worried I made a mistake getting the laminate top instead of full walnut, but the laminate is matte, quality, and matches the desk. Since it's going to be used as a work table and possibly a kitchen table at some point, I'd probably kill myself if I had gotten wood and damaged it. I'm still not sure if I'm in love with the Aluminum Group chair. I went with the Maharam Messenger fabric in Satsuma but I kind of wish I had gone with a multicolor Girard fabric (I was already over-budget). I also picked up a Nelson Platform Bench, sixty-inches with the reintroduced metal legs. Once I get everything arranged I'll take proper photos of everything. I'm running out of space yet I've got an eye on a set of two LCWs...

as promised
a few pieces of arty stuff. An abstract by (Robert Wells, 1964) that I am still trying to decide if I like (throw it on a wall and stare at it, always works) and a really nice wood sculpture, sort of Brancusi-ish signed E (or C) Garrett. Nicely done i think.

I bought this painting a few weeks ago. By Saelee Oh. Seems to be an original painting. I really like it. What do you guys think?
