I think judging by the scale you see these in Holland (not at all in Belgium) that these were produced in the Netherlands.
Maybe even with permission of the original factory?
I believe Bovenkamp/Hilversum did the same thing, they bought designs from scandinavia and made their own pieces.
Oh, ok---
you did a great job on the seat! That's a good project to start with. So many people try something way too hard and get discouraged.
I would clean up the wood a bit. Many times I've been on the fence about whether as to whether wood has patina or just dirt and I'm always happier when it's clean. Dirt isn't patina. If you go easy with the steel wool and use plenty of oil, you can stop as soon as it looks right.
I don't know how one would do that back without nails---glue, maybe?

A Bornholm Møbler Secretaire ...
A Bornholm Møbler Secretaire desk/bookcase from a yard sale for $25. Has a contrasting oak piece at the bottom, which some of these seem to have and others don't. Nice shape.
Edit: I realized that the legs are simply on backwards, and the blonde front rail is actually a secondary wood that is supposed to be in the back.
