Howard Miller...
Got this from our grandfather. I found it on the top shelf in a closet. needed some cleaning though. Just picked it up from my clock buddy, he was able to clean and oil the original movement on it so its 100% original. with key and everything!

Jim
I think judging by the scale you see these in Holland (not at all in Belgium) that these were produced in the Netherlands.
Maybe even with permission of the original factory?
I believe Bovenkamp/Hilversum did the same thing, they bought designs from scandinavia and made their own pieces.

Nice job on the chair, Tom!
But did the original have the nails?
How did you get the nice clean line along the top back?
I'm dying to take some teak oil and steel wool to the arms and the sides of the seat...

Oh, ok---
you did a great job on the seat! That's a good project to start with. So many people try something way too hard and get discouraged.
I would clean up the wood a bit. Many times I've been on the fence about whether as to whether wood has patina or just dirt and I'm always happier when it's clean. Dirt isn't patina. If you go easy with the steel wool and use plenty of oil, you can stop as soon as it looks right.
I don't know how one would do that back without nails---glue, maybe?

A Bornholm Møbler Secretaire ...
A Bornholm Møbler Secretaire desk/bookcase from a yard sale for $25. Has a contrasting oak piece at the bottom, which some of these seem to have and others don't. Nice shape.
Edit: I realized that the legs are simply on backwards, and the blonde front rail is actually a secondary wood that is supposed to be in the back.

tchp, the round coffee table in the right of your image, the one that is very similar to the Fritz Hansen table designed by H. Engholm & Svend Willumsen. I have one at the moment, what are your thoughts on who designed it?

Moreddi
I am pretty sure the table you are referring to is Moreddi. Not sure who designed it though.

Chair looks wonderful and like its being used appropriately, jesgord!
As a parent of kids of a similar age, its great to see a book instead of an iPhone on facebook.
