I will be driving to Austin for New Year's. I'll be there from the 29th to the 1st. Can anyone tell me some polaces I need to visit while there? I have been there a few times but I want to make sure I don't miss any cool shops (furniture, record stores, clothing). I am usually there to play music and don't have time to explore.
Also, if anyone wants to tell me where some cool apartments are, and some cool neighborhoods that would be cool. I hope to move there in June and would like to get an idea of where I want to be.

if you like pad thai eat at madam man's (i think that is the name) -
the UT law library has a lot of neat furniture "classics" in saddle leather (i think) - neat to check out the patination if it's your interest.
There are a handful of good furniture stores but are a bit pricey because there is a relatively high demand in austin - good luck!!

Hi there! If you're looking for vintage, try Room Service Vintage they have everything from furniture to music to toys. There are two locations, and the one on North loop has a lot of other cool vintage stores around it. Also try Austin Modern(just around the corner from the one on north loop.) Hope that helps. P.S.
