Gerrit Rietveldt (spelling) made a really neat wheel barrow for kids.
Starck has made some toys that were for sale in Target about 2-3 years ago.
Some designer mentioned in Dwell is building modernist tree houses.

I like Blue Dot.. I'm not sure if they are solely for children. Try www.DaddyTypes.com - its a design savvy blog for dads. They have some cool links including a mysterious child sized Eames LCW!

The Eames made plywood...
The Eames made plywood furnitures for kids in the early 50's but they ar enow very hard to find!

For more contemporary design you could also try magis, they're doing this excellent "Mico" multiposition chair which seems great fun for kids!!! all their "Me Too" kids line is excellent anyway!

Alfredo Haberli's kids' tableware is nice ones. The design motivates kids to do by themselves when they have meals.

I've always liked Nanna...
I've always liked Nanna Ditzel's small wooden stools and table called "Trisse" (org. designed for her own three daughters).
