I know two people who used this to obtain funding
One was successful, the other wasn't (but that's life--her "project" simply didn't inspire interest or confidence).
I'm ALL for any funding system where participation is voluntary rather than compulsory.

Thanks Woody, this is interesting too. I'm pondering it this way and that and other than some minor concerns I think its grand.
