Hi, i just bought this nice swivel stool decribed as "Arthur Umanoff styled". I love it as a "fake Umanoff", but i still wonder if it is not a genuine one.
Any idea of the original brand too?
By the way, can anybody recommend a website or a book about Athur Umanoff?
Thank you,
Joachim

real Raymor
Apparently it's been designed by Umanoff for Raymor in the 60s. Anybody has more infos on this?

Ask Jonathan
Jonathan Goldstein is the man to ask. I know he's been working on a Paul McCobb Book. I don't know if he's working on a Umanoff book. I hope he is.

Arthur Umanoff indeed
This is an Arthur Umanoff design for Shaver Howard which was distributed by Raymor. It is from the late 60?s and is pictured in the June 1967 issue of Interior Design. Curiously this snippet can be seen in my blog post on Arthur Umanoff?s wine racks on the Paul McCobb blog.
