Thought some of you would be interested in seeing them.
They were made in the suburb next to the one I live in - in Sydney. No prizes for guessing the inspiration behind these chairs.
I pulled them apart and reglued them and refinished them and then got someone to web them. They look good in that room - especially with the armchair version in the corner. But I have teenagers and they sort of lounge in all chairs and I'm not sure these ones are up to the treatment. I have Aluminium Group chairs that are usually around that table.
I've got way too many chairs so the red ones need to go.

A lounging teenager sounds the worst for this hobby! I am sure I said this on the forum before, but I have some old schoolfriends round at Christmas and one insisted on leaning back on my newly acquired Torvits chairs. They stood up to the test very hardily in fairness to the chairs, but needless to say I'll make sure he's on the couch when he next visits.
They look very Risom-ish, I think there's a lot of great mid century Australian design, and there's a lot of it on Instagram. Quite a pleasure to see, I'd especially advise following @mediumrare_resto if anyone doesn't and wants to see some and some great repair work!
Should have done the strapping yourself though! That's only an hours work.
Yes, very like Risom, whose designs were like someone before him. There was a lot of idea borrowing back then. I checked out those medium rare resto people. It figures that they are in Melbourne - there is nothing like that in Sydney. Lots more mid century furniture down there, too. After I paid to have the strapping done, I wished I had done it myself.
