Recently I've bought a EA117, condition was all good but then I got in a conversation someone telling this chair is fake.

- pneumatic height option was only authorized in the past decade. (Since acquisition of Vitra ????)

- This chair should be in Polished Aluminium but according to him it is Chrome.

I know ICF got it's Herman Miller /Eames license to produce their chairs until 1986. After this it was Vitra. But ICF produced until 2004 and got sued and forced to stop cause of Italian law ruling.

Now i'm wondering if someone can confirm or disprove the fact it's fake.  In another Thread on here i read about modified parts at the ICF production.

So now im wondering if this is an ICF produced chair build according the design criteria of eames/herman miller or this is an ICF (after 1986??) produced chair with some modifications (No license, and modified, so design wise fake) ?
