Very similar to...
a heywood wakefield two tier end table C3170 from the late 36-39 pre war period.

Due to the shaky pre war economy a lot of furniture from this period was not manufactured in huge quatity so tends to be rather rare. I think they are sweet but that's my favorite period of American modern furniture design, 1935 - 50, before purely American design became overwhelmed by the post war influx of european influence.

I would bet it's probably an in house designer. Good, competant design but not startlingly innovative or original.

The inside radius between top and vetical end panel says "Kem Weber" to me -- though I doubt these are his.
