Game Tables: Tough Decision

But I think the choice is clear ..... you need to sell both of them, and acquire Aksel Bender Madsen's other game table.

P.S. If you must choose, the teak one has cup holders, is this even a decision?

I confess that I am not a big fan of this other Madsen & Larsen game table. I wouldn't be in a pickle over that one. And yes, the teak one, which is the Madsen and Larsen for Cabinetmaker Willy Beck has pull out cupholders. Not the best photo of the table with cupholders out, but it has the pride of being possibly the first ever photo of the game table.

Sorry to find the tangent here, but the photo muddies the game table in this case, and all I can see is those chairs. Superb silhouette and I love the stance the legs take. Whenever I see chairs like this I'd like to see how they feel to sit in. I'm strange.

What kind of restoration does thst table require? Can you safely do any of it yourself? Is it as simple as treating it as one would an average teak side table? Or does any wear on it have importance?

The Madsen and Larsen could use a light cleaning and re-oiling.

Fun fact is that the Bender Madsen gametable was designed for a cruising ship, so thats why it have those cupholders to keep the drinks from spilling.

And its a keeper for sure.
