Time to paint the door on the modern mansion and i was wondering if any one has any idea what color Frank Lloyd Wright used to paint doors and window seals
I do know that it was some shade of Orange, I am just not sure who makes it and what the name of it is
any one have a idea
thanks in advance
Good question..
Actually, it is not an orange as much as it is a darker red.
For all the good reasons I do not like the Pantone scale, but Munsell is not widely spread and most others even less. But in Pantone the closest color is PMS 180.
....soemone should go out to Bear river and hold a Pantone scale to it....
.
You'll find some answers here. Sorry about the annoying highlighted word !

thanks sdr from reading that blog I guess it is called new england red it use to be cherokee red.
I guess the Indians got mad that it was not politically correct , At Stanford University the athlectic teams used to be called the Stanford Indians but the school did not want to offend the Indians so they changed the name to Cardinals, Here in Oklahoma Oklahoma means land of the red man I guess we are waiting for our notice to change the name any day,
but thanks so much for the paint tip i will be getting it tomorrow,
