Possibly Canadian
Looks very much like the work of Jan Kuypers for Imperial.

The California manufacturers ...
The California manufacturers used a lot of mahogany, often bleached, but not always. If someone proposed it was a Brown-Saltman or a Glenn of California I would find that very plausible.
And mahogany is actually a very beautiful wood. It is hard to fault it for being such an appealing choice that it got so overused as to become synonymous the furniture of a prior era.

bleached mid century mahogany louvered dressers
Well, I have perused many many images on the old internot and found several sets similiair in style but not the same as the set I have. The Merton Gershon for America of Martinsville 'Dania' line of louvered furniture is very similiar except for the base...I have looked at Glenn of California, Brown Saltman, Edmund Spence among others. As I am in Canada, my gut suggests the Imperial furniture connection suggested (Jan Kuypers) but cannot find a match. Phooey!
thanks very much for the help and comments

The square-section
tapered leg is a defining detail here, as opposed to the more common conical leg ?
