Hello from a very chilly northern outpost...luckily I received this lovely chair today which warms me to the core!
I have posted pictures and welcome comments.
Only mark is a 'M' embossed on the underside. The legs are black and have a ribbed effect...the bottom otherwise very closely resembles an Arne Jacobsen/fritz hansen chair I had but hmmmm....CON-founded!

arne jacobsen/fritz hansen/3101 'hammer' chair (Confounded no more)!
BOOM! Thank you Krenit, Leif Ericson, woodywood and vintagestique for your input and shared information!
The cover for the central piece the legs radiate from on the underside is missing...that is what would have had the marks on it...the little label thing you see in the pic is some cloth tape with the previous owners name on it 😉
I am still kind of curious what that embossed in the wood on the underside 'M' means ...but no longer confounded...thanks

Arne Jacobsen, 1957

The result was model 3103, which had a sharper bend in the backrest. The model also came as a children's chair. The series was discontinued in the 1960s.
