Hello,
New user here -- hopefully I'm posting this in the right forum.
I've found what sounds like a too-good-to-be-true prospective deal on four Eames DCMs in a rural area near where I live. I'm skeptical, and my skepticism has led me to you given the great work you've done before to help authentify DCMs.
The seller tells me the chairs date from the late 70's. At least some appear to have long black rectangular "herman miller" labels on the underside, as well as white patent stickers and "Inspected by LB June 1978" stickers. The shockmounts are rounded along their outer rim; the gliders are white.
Photos (taken by the seller) to follow. What do you think? Authentic or repros?
Thanks!

The presence of a Herman Miller label and patent number sticker are clear signs that the chairs are repros.
If the seller had had the temerity to include a purchase receipt and a photo of Charles Eames dropping the chairs off at his front door, I would have immediately notified the FBI and called in the SWAT team.
