looks like Lucia has a case! If they were to share proceeds from the book but ownership of the materials was retained by the Office, then the Neuharts shouldn't be able to sell the archives. But is it EVER that cut and dry?
It's about the only really interesting lot in that auction.
Latest :

I was at Wright a couple of weeks ago, standing before this library tring to figure out what it was. After reading the book binding titles (and seriously repressing the urge to read them), it dawned upon me that they were part of the Eames office...which left me wondering why the collection was even being sold. I'm not taking sides as we have an incomplete picture about it's passage through time. It just seemed like an innocent collection of titles.
Another update:
From Wright's facebook page:
"Eames sale update: Per the request of Lucia and Eames Demetrious, Wright has decided to withdraw lots 731 and 733 from tomorrow's auction. Wright respects the claim of both parties to a portion of this material and looks forward to working with them to find the future home of the Neuhart's important research archive."
