I just got
the Turbine clock and the multi-colored Ball clock and they're both nifty. Jeez, that Turbine is a monster piece of wall art!
Here's the AllWorld website, but PLEASE NOTE; they don't list all of their clocks. You'll have to email them or call them and if you buy clocks from them, ask them to put a bit of packing around the outside of the clock boxes. All of mine arrived safely, but as you can read above, some have not.

eye clock
I just received the eye clock today via UPS from All World. I am very impressed with the quality and it arrived in perfect condition. I can't believe the Vitra ones are selling for $385--this one was only $75 and just as nice as a Vitra reissue (I have several Vitra reissues of other GN clocks...)

My kite clock came today. I can't say I'm as happy with the quality as others seem to be. The paint job on mine was pretty sloppy (the line between the black and white paint doesn't follow the bend in the metal and you can tell that white paint got under the tape they were using because there are blotches of white paint along the dividing line. And all the black hour markers have fingerprints on them in white paint). I may have to repaint this one (using some new colors). Regarding that -- I always seem to have the same problem these guys did when trying to use tape to paint a straight line. No matter how firmly I apply the tape, the paint manages to get under the tape and splotch. There must be some way around this or people would stop using tape...what do you think I'm doing wrong?

Are you using blue...
Are you using blue tape?
And removing it before the paint fully cures?
Laying it down gently with out stretching it.
Tape has a flex to it and if pulled tight it wants to lift a bit in spots. Often invisible.
another trick used is applying a clear coat over the tape edge first,
then applying the color coat.
Seals the edge and and any leakage is the clear sealer.

Hi Rockland,
Those were great tips -- I likely have been stretching the tape a bit. Using the clear sealer (or at least the same color paint as the first coat) is such a simple solution. Yet I didn't think of it. Thanks.
Just to clarify -- are the first two things you mentioned (blue tape and removing the tape before the paint cures) things I should or should not be doing? I would've thought blue tape would be good (is it not sticky enough?) and that removing the tape before the paint was cured would be bad...

sorry. i should have...
sorry. i should have re-read before posting.
there are tapes designed for different surfaces.
usually printed inside the tape roll.
for example a car finish can handle a much stickier tape.
i think green is preferred for a durable gloss finish in the US.?
(different in canada so i get it backwards)
using the proper tape without stretching will give perfect results.
sealing it first is often used for a safety back-up. i usually use the tape roll
itself as a pressure tool. no need to use a hard object. if the smallest pleat or
kink is formed, you will get a bleed spot.
removing the tape before it fully cures is a good thing. a full cure could be
4 hours or 24 depending on the product.
a safe bet is at or just before the 'dry to the touch' moment.
a few thin coats are better than one thick coat.
the first thin coat will cure faster and seal the edge.
a thick coat will skim over and often prevent the paint trapped under
from drying properly, trapping moisture (or solvent) and weakening the tapes bond
to the object being painted creating the awful bleeding.

All of the clocks I got from AllWorld were perfect and arrived safely.
My lucky day?
