This bungalow is for sale quite near to where I live. Apparently, it is likely to be bulldozed to put a new house on the site.

I like it, bit of work and it would look great. In fact, to hell with it, somebody buy it so developers can't pull it down and build some more cardboard boxes. We won't have any heritage left in this country, nor green countryside in the next 50 years!
and when
a visitor congratulated the Jacobses on their "new bungalow" (this Wright Usonian) in 1936, some were amused. Maybe they were right ?
By any name, that house is a beauty ! It should be saved, no doubt. With some research we could learn the name of the architect, and unearth the early publicity mentioned in the realtor's text. Thanks for bringing it in. . .
I think it may be worth...
I think it may be worth contacting English Heritage or a pressure group like The Twentieth century Society - if the house is by a significant architect (or even a reasonably good one) there may be a case to get it listed - not always 100% guaranteed to save a house but may put a developer off.
Found this -
"Bungalow - Derived from the Bengali word for hut, bangala, it refers to an Anglo-Indian one-story house surrounded by a veranda."
Just waiting now for a Stephen rant against the British Empire and perfidious Albion.

Modernhouse.net is probably your best bet but you could try joining the c20 society, they often have property ads in their newsletter
