I just sat in a nearly $500 neomodernist chair and ottoman by Angellini. Its not very good looking, but what really bothers me is that it sits poorly. Question: why are low end chairs designed so uncomfortably? It wouldn't cost any more to design them to be comfortable, would it? This Angellini chair had tons of leather and tons of stitching, yet the back cushions created discomfort at the shoulder blades. It was not uncomfortable, because of materials and build quality. The build was quite faultless and the leather and foam was decent. The damn thing was poorly designed for the human body to sit in. How hard can this be to do? I can see why chairs at Costco may not be able to have the greatest looks, or the primo materials that will last forever, but how hard is it to make a comfortable EZ chair?
