And that no man might buy or sell,
save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

5 Drawer Chest with matching 2 Drawer End Table. Both are #536
I found this set in Hanceville, Alabama at the local thrift store. I noticed that it was solid mahogany and was in great condition. By the legs I could see that it was a vintage type piece. Typically I know very little about design however, I wanted this set being that it had been marked down from $80 to $17. I was very happy getting this great deal!
Manufacturer: Link-Taylor
The 5 Drawer Chest stands approx. 45.5" tall, is 38" wide and 19" deep. Each drawer front measures 7.5" high and the handles extend the length of the drawer front.
The 2 Drawer End Table Stands approx. 23.5",is 21" wide and 15" deep. Drawer fronts also measures 7.5" high and handles extend length of drawer.
The color is a pale yellow and looks as though it was stained not painted. I'm wondering if I can have it refinished or should I leave it alone. I wont do anything to it until I know for sure.
Pictures can be available.
Hey, Tom, I've got a 184 too, and the desk is different, but without a doubt the same maker - leather desk surface, same hardware, same look.
Mine came through the family, either purchased in the Bay Area or southern Cal... I'm guessing in the 30's, but maybe 40's... really haven't checked into it yet... until I found this magnificent thread.
sofa stand/end table #123
My son in law just acquired a sofa stand rather to say that has the gold designs around the lighter colored wood on the top of the stand. It is a beautiful marbled mahogany with a single pull out drawer. Inside the drawer are 2 stickers, between the both ( I forget which is which one) it states Imperial, Grand Rapids, MI.> yes it is Michigan, Genuine Mahogany, Number 123, Mahogany Association Inc.. I do not know any other information on it either but found that of course the numbers between both were the same and wood. It is a beautiful stand that I've already made them set up so there's nothing to get on it, this has minimal at best scarring and it's on the underside of the drawer only ? weird, and no rings from glasses thankfully.

I recently purcased an end table that was sold at Gordon's Inc. Fine Furniture in Johnson City, Tenn. The Association sticker is still on the ins0de. It is 422.
The end table is a double decker with a hidden sliding shelf on the top level and has a drawer on the lower (main) level. I wonder what it's worth?
