I thought it would be nice to see what everyone prizes as their most treasured possession.
Mine is a cheap, badly made Cintique chair. It was the first mid-century piece I bought and restored. It's not worth much, I did a fairly bad job on the refinishing, but it looks nice and has sentimental value.
.
Not the big things anymore but I bring things I like out of the top cupboard and at the moment I'm entranced by a Swedish pipe rack by AB sowe konst, my camera is broken but its just a solid block of elm (?) with rounded edges and holes and slots drilled into it, a most excellent design.
Arthur,
What is your problem? You clearly have an issue with me being part of this forum?
What exactly am I advertising? The battered old Cintique chair?
Seriously, grow up. Oh, I forgot, you have.... It's people like you that make this forum a place where the only threads are for ID'ing.

Mine is a pottery lamp made by my uncle around 1960 before he quit doing pottery and began his long career as a glass artist. I remember when he gave it to my parents as a gift back then and I was lucky enough to snag it from them before my four siblings got to it. Ha!
The glaze is matte pale gray-green, very Danish in inspiration, I think. I would love it without the history but that is what makes it irreplaceable and very, very treasured.
(I have never been able to find the right shade for it and just realized now that I could just take all the hardware off it and use it as a vase. Duh.)
