I found a nice desk which is too big for my office room and thought about using is as a dining table. What do you think? I am wondering what chairs could go nicely with it.. Any ideas?

chairs for your table
We have some clean light oak mid-century modern chairs that would look great with your table; don't know how many you need, but check it out.

I am not a big fan of mid-century pieces. I am not sure if wooden chairs would go well. I like the contrast of materials, I was thinking more in terms of modern upholstered chairs, or leather.

Don't go heavy
It's a really float-y table, I'd be wary of aupholstry of leather as they might look too heavy wit hthe table. How about something that has a similar base, like various eames chairs or the Globus? (link below)

It looks to me like it would function pretty poorly as a dining table, theres only space for 4 chairs becuase of the leg design and you'd hit your knees when sitting on the two ends.

shell chairs in white
arm chair shells white with effiel tower base ... new or vintage will look really good the new ones cost retail around 299. the vintage is what ever you can buy them for with the effiel tower base. for 85 and shell

You're right, the legs are kind of in a way and it doesn't really look like a typical dining table. But on the other hand it has a light "floaty" as someone said look. Well, I have a 10 day return policy, will probably return it.

It might be cliche, but . . . .
I think white or black Series 7 chairs by Jacobsen would look good around that table.

i would say
the eames DSR but that would be to easy, try the '2sit' designed by peter van riet, produced by unic design or the 'side chair tripod' designed by alain berteau for Vange

take the legs off and re-attach them on their side to make a coffee table.

I'm not sure that will work, but if it can be made to, spray the legs white.
