If the leather on the chair is the same as the sample I'm holding in my hand, I'll be thrilled. Its very close to the Sorensen Elegance in Walnut but a tiny bit more caramel colored. Sorensen on left...Spinneybeck on right. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Yes, it really looks fantastic now.
But just imagine how sexy it will look in twenty years!
Use it well, treat it right, and the investment will pay you back in ways you can't buy.
Congratulations!

what ever happened to
hey jesgord, just wondering what ever happened to that Sorensen leather you originally tried to put on that chair. Were they able to remove it? Do you still have it? I've got a Plycraft Mr. Chair that would look awesome with that leather on it. 🙂

Not sure what they did with the Soresnsen leather but if I get it back, I've got plenty of places where I could use it myself 😉

Have you got the chair back, or did I miss an update? Did you find a spot for it at home?

Chair is home and in my living room. Very pleased with the outcome! Had not posted, as I figured people had heard enough from me on the topic ;-). Upholsterer now has my 3303 which should be done in a few weeks.

Well, once you have got the sofa back, I think that event should warrant the posting of a group portrait.

Upholstery
Hey guys, take a look at these original Arne Jacobsen Swan Chairs. These chairs were found in an old barn by someone that knew what they were. Both of these chairs were damaged nearly to the point of no return. We completely restored them to their full luster in fine leather. For those that do not know about these chairs, they are made from Styrofoam and have to be blind stitched by hand around the entire chair. This process is very difficult and cannot be done easily.

Do you offer professional refoam and upholstery on the egg chairs?

I have an egg chair in Eggplant Purple. the foam is shot and the chair needs an overhaul. I'm looking for someone who is qualified to do a nice job.
Thanks!
Dave

Cross-posting here since there are so many fellow leather egg chair owners in this thread - how do you keep the cushion from slipping off? Mine doesn't stay in place and with a little one around the house it is easier to just keep it off then have to pick it up off the floor every day. Any ideas?
Also, do you treat the leather at all? Mine is starting to "wrinkle" around the arm corner portions and the back top and I'm not sure if it's due to dryness? I condition my leather purses with blackrock/obenauf, any recommendations? Thanks!
