I've searched the forum, but haven't found the answer to my specific question. I have the chance to buy what seems to be an authentic Knoll Wassily chair -- the dimensions, general construction, sunken hex screws, etc. all check out. However, there aren't any endcaps on the four horizontal tubes running from the front of the chair to the back, so those are just open on either end.
I've seen various posts about plastic endcaps vs. welded and flush vs. non, but does the lack of any endcaps call the chair's authenticity into question? Thanks for any help.
