Heath,
I dunno about the chair in your top photo but the rockers in the lower one are a folk style called twig furniture...? Something like that. They used a lot of hickory branches and also willow for parts that needed to have curves with a small radius. The bark was often left on. That photo looks like a lodge-style hotel lobby.

yup.
We had a summer cabin when I was a little brat that was full of twig furniture (in every room). I sorta like it, but really wouldn't know what to wear whilst perched upon a piece. Denim, gingham and a fishing pole?
