Vitra dowel bases on Herman Miller? Repro rocker bases on Vitra?

First of all, I would like everyone to aware of an Ebay Seller name Russell Davis from Fire-fly house, London, This guy is a liar. He is not honest about what he posted and sale.

I bought a HM side shell from this guy, but this guy lied about the bases were Vitra original dowel bases and gave me repro bases instead. He then never reply my mails on my complaints.

So, I am desperate to make my dining set of 4 HM side chair consistent looking. Now, my plan is, buy a new Vitra Arm shell chair with dowel base. Then replace the dowel base for my HM side shell while buying a new repro rocker base for this Vitra Arm shell. Would the bases work in this configuration?

Is there any difference between the dowel bases for side chair and arm chair produced by Vitra? would the mounting fits HM?
