It does reflect the chair-making tradition of placing the rear legs a bit closer to each other than the front ones. (If this were biology, there'd be a Latin nomenclature for that trait ?)
I may have seen this chair in a doctor's office somewhere . . .

Guess I'll chalk it up to a thrift store fail. Ah well, someone out there in craigslist land (perhaps a doctor's office) is bound to give me $100 for them. 😉
