Only Sunshine here...
..and the parade is in full swing!
I was very careful to purchase "new to me", pre-1971 vintage down feather filled cushions as replacements, except for the headrest which is still vintage and a perfect match to my original feather filled ones and I will transfer the feathers across to the replacement one.
I was very picky about selecting these cushions as I wanted it to remain as it should be, with it vintage look as I have been given the impression this is an early 60's version with 3 screws to the underside of the arms, down cushions, 5 layers of ply, the Brazilian rosewood of course, etc...etc...
If the cushions do have a slightly different "sheen/shine" to them, my restorer has special leather lacquers to blend them all in to match perfectly.

Excellent-decision,Jinx
Ignore the nay sayers.Sounds like a reasonable expediture to resurrect that beauty.Better than the $4k dime a dozen newbies with zero character and soul.I'll look forward to seeing your "after" photos.
