Is This Vase Danish?

Picked this up at a local flea market and the seller said it might be Danish. If you don't recognize the mark is the style at least Danish-like? It's a good 14" tall. Thanks!

Japanese
It's japanese, that is the Hiragana for Yo part of the basic Japanese writing system.

No help from me on that. :C
It could be from any of the countless Japanese artists with that last name. Although I can tell you that if in fact that is the makers last name it is very odd usage of Kana. Most people would stamp their pottery with a Kanji mark.

I guess I have to track down this very specific mark because even if there are many artists with this same last name the way this character is written should be specific to one designer/maker.
