Hi, I bought a 'light sculpture' from Vincenzo Caffarella, Alfie's market in London. (Open flickr link for images) It's attributed to a designer called Akikaze and produced for the italian design studio PoliArt in the early seventies, I believe. I bought this piece Its fabricated from murano glass inset in some kind of molded metal. It houses a frame to which 12 light bult sockets are attached and it's also dimmable. I think it's a unique piece of space age design and it looks great whether switched on or off! I'm trying to find out more about the designer, and whether he designed more pieces in this style, so if you know anything, please let me know!
