Hi,
We recently purchased a lovely Scandinavian style vintage armchair with a unique metal arm detail. can anyone identify the chair's designer, origin or manufacturer?
Much appreciated,
Rachel

Your chair was produced by OPE Mobler
They contracted Ib Kofod-Larsen to design a new series of furniture, which was called the Seal line.
They still make these chairs by hand in Sweden!

Kofod or Kroehler?
Hello all. Longtime lurker, first time poster. I recently picked up this white vinyl chair off Craigslist thinking it was a Kofod Larsen design. It didn't seem as sculpturally refined (especially the arms) as most other examples I had seen, but there are several sets of this same chair that are for sale, and have sold as Larsen chairs. This very thread seemed to confirm the ID.
Three days later I found the green/gold chair at an antique mall. It's a different style, a bit more refined, but with the identical "non-magnetic metal" elbows and a metal Kroehler tag on the back. There is also a Kroehler production/delivery tag on the inside of the frame dated 1962.
I could not find any examples that I actually BELIEVED were Kofod Larsen chairs that had this type of metal elbow. Isn't it reasonable to believe they are all Kroehler?
