I've just bought a Aluminium Group Executive chair which needs to be collected from some distance away, and was wondering if anyone in the UK had successfully sent anything this large via courier/Royal Mail.
If so, how much did it cost, and how should it be packed?

Hi there Well i sent a few Panton 123 system chairs through the Royal mail standard parcel,As long as you can pass the item through the (seperate) parcels window in the counter they have to accept the item.
The 123 chairs weighed 10 kg this cost me £12, i paid insurance, which is a must and gives total peice of mind,this cost an extra £3.50 for coverage upto £500.
The chairs were well packed ,bubble wrap + cardboard and well labelled.
The chairs arrived safe and sound.
