I have four tulip chairs and each of them come loose over time. They are the swivel variety with a metal rod fixing the chair with The base. There is a nut holding the rod on place at the bottom of the chair but this works loose over a few weeks.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this bolt coming loose? From memory there was a ring that came with each chair but was not sure how this fitted in with the bolt and rod.

Any help would be most appreciated

Hello, can you show photos of your tulip chair? I'd like to take a look at the parts and bolt you are talking about, and the extra piece.
Regards

I've attached the following p...
I've attached the following photo.
One photo shows the base of the chair with the nut and the circular thimble.
And the other photo shows a circular metal band that I'm assuming prevents the nut from coming loose if the chair is swivelled about over time.
The trouble is I'm not 100% sure how the metal band fits with the nut and circular thimble.
Is it from the bottom up Thimble > band > nut or some other combination?
The second point is how easy is it to get the exact size band as I'm missing two?
