Found a nice chair I like in a dark green colour. It looks genuine to me, but the owner seems to think there are no labels although they believe it is Herman Miller.
Are there any tail tell signs of it being genuine and were there many/if any knock offs made? This looks to be vintage.

I'm interested to know this too, as I have just bought one with no markings on it.
It does, however, look exactly the same as those I've seen with the Herman Miller sticker underneath (same base, castors, size, arms, adjuster etc.).
I'm not aware of any knock-offs, although I'm sure there probably have been ...

of course there are knock-off's. One you can already find on the earlier discussed 'thisisfurniture' site. I'm sure there are dozen's of others.
