I'd like to exhibit at next year ICFF show with some prototypes hoping to attract manufacturers. I would like to hear from designers who had shown there before so I know what to expect.

1. How much does it cost for a say 10x10 booth?

2. Do you have to show pix of your products to them to get approval for showing? I assume they don't just take anyone.

3. Do they put all the new designers with prototypes in one particular area to distinguish them from manufacturers?

4. Did you get good exposure to the press/magazines with your exhibition and did manufactures scout around and came to you or you had to do a lot of door knocking yourself while you were there.

That's all the questions I have right now, if you can think of any else that might be help to me and other new and inexperienced designers, feel free to add.

Thanks all!

This year they let each exhibitor post a high resolution image of their work for the press to download, in the event they choose to cover you (see link below).
Prepare a brochure or a slick, tear sheets if you've already had some press, etc. Even if the manufactures do the former, you should do even more of the later. This is New York. You better hustle.
Best of luck to you.

Thanks ChrisG. I did email...
Thanks ChrisG. I did email ICFF and they told me about pricing but said that registration doesn't begin til late Sept, so I'm still curious about whether they lump all design designers into one section.
When you said "this year" you meant this past May or 2007, or possibly both?
Thanks
