Many times I have seen a mix...
Many times I have seen a mix pulled off so well that I prefer it. Your furniture is great, your taste is great, so long as the structure is to your liking you will be in great shape!!
old + new = newest.

We are looking
all along Lac Leman between Geneva and Lausanne. Luzerne is, I'm pretty sure, farther north up in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

It's the Victorian
We've picked the apartment in the Victorian building in the center of Lausanne. The views over the lake and the city are to die for. The building was built in 1880 (the outside is freshly plastered and repainted which made me assume it was of a later date). I will post pictures once I get moved in at the end of March. You are all invited for drinks, skiing and sailing.
BTW, my relocation guy who was accompanying me on this search was soooo wrong. The owner of the apartment who owns the Le Corbusiers is not going to assisted living (that's the dude on the first floor!). He is a very young and vibrant "older" Swiss pediatrician who knows exactly what he has. I was very bold, however, and he has agreed to let me use the four Le Corbusier pieces during my three year tenure. Renting orgasmic furniture is the next best thing to owning it, no?

Sure !
We are all just custodians
At the risk of sounding morbid- we dont take it with us, and at the end of the 3 years if you can't live without then you know what you need to buy 😉
Good luck for the move ..and let me know if you are visiting London !

I love your new place it sounds unreal
I have a lovely lady friend that lived in Switzerland for 2 years moving back 2 years ago.
i just emailed her to find out exactly where she was living but she had a great house, and really cool furniture (funny it was mostly Lecorbusier
by Caasina . She loved her two years in The Alps, so much to do and so many great places, The greatest thing she got in the country
was her dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog, the most beautiful and smart dog I have ever seen,
You never know when I might show up, I use to go to Lake Como, on the Italian side. and had business in Geneva, love that place!!
