Granted that the house is further from charming than any other of Lautner's buildings, the article makes it even worse, by presenting a photo that makes the house look like a giant toadstool and claiming that it was intended to look like "a volcano" !   It's clear that the whole thing was a sadness for the architect, and no delight (apparently) to its owner -- or the wife, at any rate . . .
John Lautner deserves better.  

I never saw a Lautner that I didn't appreciate, including this example. The poorly written article should have been properly edited.  Now back to Bob's sweet pants.  I like 'em.  I'd wear 'em.  And I'd sell Delores, instead.
