Looking for any information on my below pair of chairs. Each consists of patchwork leather cushions that fit together like Tetris pieces over steel posts attached to the base. The cushions have holes in them with steel grommets that slide over the posts.
Each bears an oval sticker stating 'Original Design Stendig Made In Switzerland'. Wright attributed them to de Sede, but an employee in de Sede's production department for the last 30 years confirmed they were not manufactured there.
It sounds like there are a few people on this forum that used to work for Stendig, any help would be much appreciated. Looks like Eleanore Stendig passed away in August 2012, but Charles Stendig was still alive at that time.
These are the only examples I have ever seen; I once saw a matching loveseat/sofa at an estate sale in Chicago but passed it up due to the fact that the cushions were totally wasted. If anyone has that sofa or knows where it went then please reach out to me!!!

The bases for my chairs are extremely similar in construction to the base on this Robert Haussmann sofa for Stendig. I have a strong suspicion that whoever manufactured the Haussmann sofa also made my chairs.
