Hi. I use often Google's free SketchUp program for quick sketches. But when I want save the sketches, all I can save them as is a 'skp' file (whatever that is). Are they not possible to save as a type of file that would show up like a picture in fx a mail? - do I have to buy the complete version of SketchUp in order to do so?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Worst case scenario...
if you just want to be able to show it to someone, would be to take a screenshot and then paste it into another graphics program that let's you save jpgs.
Although, some (very few) programs somehow manage to prevent the screenshot function from working - but that's mostly video type programs.
Try it.

Not sure about the free...
Not sure about the free version, but in the Pro version you do like this:
File > Export > 2d Graphic ( you can choose jpeg and other formats)
