I know my pix didn't come out right, but it's the shorter of the 2 kinds of allen screws used on the Ingmar Relling Siesta Chair. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try
Home Depot nuts and bolts section. In all the stores I have been in, there are about three or four rotating parts cabinets in the "nuts & bolts" section where you can find odd ball pieces like this.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that I had no luck. I guess I'll have to keep trying smaller hardware stores and see when I'll get lucky.

joint connector nuts/bolts
Just look for joint connector nuts and bolts. They come in various sizes and any hardware store should have them.

Hi Simon, here's a pix of a similar connecting cap nut I found at Home Depot and the actual nut that I need. It has the same dimension and thread as the one I need for my siesta chair.
Thanks so much for your help!!
