Shipping Herman Miller products to Europe  

Here's the rub;
Europeans want to buy Herman Miller merchandise in the USA and having it shipped because Vitra is so bloody expensively priced.
Americans would want some selected Vitra pieces that Herman Miller does not sell themselves and are NOT available from Vitra stateside.
The Nelson tray table, the Nelson daybed, the Eames LaFonda marble table, and the Eames LaFonda chair, for example.

HermanMiller is a manufacturer of Eames. So is Vitra. HermanMiller and Vitra have a business agreement not to sell in each other's territories. They are very very strict to this, otherwise they risk to be sued. Vitra has the exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute the Eames designs in Europe (and I thought in the Middle East). The USA and the rest of the world is exclusive territory for HermanMiller.
I totally agree the Eames designs produced by HermanMiller are more beautiful then produced by Vitra. The famous Eames lounge chair for example of Vitra differs from the one produced by HermanMiller (e.g. the base and the way the leather has been stitched. Also HermanMillers offers a wider array of Eames designs in a wider array of options.
But to answer your question: as a European it is impossible to buy from HermanMiller or a (online) HermanMiller dealer or retailer. They simply don't sell it to you. They politely refer you to their business partners in Europe: which is Vitra.
But of course there are solutions for this problem. Find yourself a freight forwarder which buys it for you in the USA and forwards it to Europe. Or find a US citizen who's willing to purchase the item you want and let him forward it to you.
