I received an email recently from the UAE asking to buy 10 lamps of a one off design I'm selling, they then agreed to buy one lamp and added a set of chairs...total order inc shipping 4000 stg...they agreed immediately and asked for bank details. I was busy when I got the initial enquirey so I did no background checks but today I had a look online and realised its a scam. They place the order and then send a bank transfer, then they cancel half the order and ask for funds to be returned...before the bank realises the whole thing is a scam and takes everything back.
The address given will be Al Istigal Street, Qasmia, Sharjah
United Arab Emirate. so far i've seen street numbers 17, 27 and 47 associated with the scam....they seem to like 7s maybe they're lucky.
The email address will be either hotmail or gmail and the like and not one associated with a domain name.
The text of the order will read something like this....probably word for word...lazy scammers......
