I'd like to buy a single vintage Knoll tulip chair (with arms and swivel). Does anyone know where I can buy one of these in the UK? Any idea how much I should expect to pay?

These tend.....
These tend to crop up from time to time. I'd suggest looking in the vintage dealers section for the UK on this site and maybe e-mail a few of them. I bought mine from Fears and Kahn, albeit without the swivel and paid around £200-250 for it (it was a while back) I'd always recommend giving them a call as Pippa is always super helpful. They do appear on E-bay now and again, but unless you can collect, the delivery is usually prohibitive. Give Pippa a call and see what they have to say.

I wish
each person's screen name would be followed by the country they're from. That's because references are made that might not be applicable for each person.
You were mention how prohibitive getting a chair from eBay would be...I take it you're in Europe, somewhere.

I'm in the.....
I'm in the UK, I assume the person who made the first post is too, given the wording of their initial request. Assuming all is correct, the reference to the price in £ (ie GBP) should make sense to them.
Shipping in the UK can be a problem if you can't collect an item. People, independent sellers inparticular, can sometimes, not be that well versed in shipping methods. They refer people to specialist antique transport companies whereby the price for something like a chair can, in many instances, turn out to be well over 50% of the chair's purchase price.
Apologies for the confusion, it's a big world out there.

A lot
A lot of what is on eBay.co.uk is poor quality repro, or by Arkana ( A british company)
eBay France looks more promising though !
(the link in the previous post won't fit in the web link box by the way, but if you cut and paste it to your address bar it works fine)
