Can somone tell me what this round-type chair is called, and or a designer name. Was this type furniture used on a porch or indoors? The seats are woven, a little like bambo or rattan. The legs are wrought iron. I have two matching chairs that need minor repair. Thank you so much for the help!

I had two of those...
...and I eventually got rid of them on Ebay. The rattan had split in a few places and they were sitting in the garage for awhile.
I don't know if they have a particular name. I've seen them called "basket chairs" and I think I've seen them in old Sears or Ward's catalogs from the 50s. If you use them outside, they should be protected from the elements because the rattan will not hold up if exposed to rain and hot sun. Indoors would be much safer.
Broken strands of rattan can be fixed by weaving a new strand in and extending it over a larger area. Tuck the ends in so that the repair is invisible.
Seen them a lot...
I have two of these with different legs, but they are still hoop chairs. Seen them a lot in 50's interior books. Mostly used as outdoor furniture and with the seating made of nylon. They are often called Hoop chairs. No designer associated from what I've researched.
