Here is the only example I could find.....
Clearly he/she didn't think it was home made.....

I can find
no other reference to a "black and white series" in Rietveld's work. The Andree Putman connection may be spurious; the wording of the provenance is vague. Some examples of the Military Series (tables and chairs, 1923-25) are painted black and white . . .
This design lacks the ideological purity of the architect's work; for instance, one stretcher laps a leg while another butts into a leg.
Does
the message "It's worth plenty of cool points" above imply that this crock is actually worth purchasing ? Why would anyone want to associate himself with fraud (and bad art) -- and pay money to do so ?
Does anyone here think that a genuine early Rietveld chair -- rare enough to have remained unseen by the world until now -- would end up on a lightweight online sales site rather than at a first-rate auction house ?
Google
"Joseph Anfuso" to find other pages from this dealer -- all on 1stDibs : Decorator objects from various periods, demi-Moderne hotel pieces, and cabinetry in white (i.e., ready for the customer's "designer finish") with overall dimensions prominently displayed. "In the style of Vladimir Kagan," etc.
Google "andree putman rietveld chair"; the only result is this thread and its linked source.
They don't have a lot of...
They don't have a lot of credibility when they try to pawn off this Philippine monkey pod wood souvenir as a "Mid Century Sculpture" for $850.
