I have an early La Fonda base which has glides that look to be the same as the later H-base glides, from what I can tell. Unfortunately, a couple of them are cracked. Just wondering if anyone has experience with replacing these glides on this base and can offer any tips? Thanks!

They are the same as the h base/lcm/dcm glides and are a bit of a pig to remove. Be careful as the foot can snap from the pivot mechanism very easily which makes it a drill out job. Good luck.

Thank you, Nick
I have never replaced this type of glide myself. Would you recommend trying pliers first? I reckon since they are partially cracked and seem rather brittle they will probably just fall apart anyway...

Yeah give them a go, not the end of the world if they break just takes a little longer!

Just push them back into the leg, woody...
There's a disc at the end of the rod which holds the feet in place. Sometimes it will tilt enough to come out, most times not. But as long as you get it out of the way, no worries. I've left most broken glide mechanisms I've replaced in the legs themselves.
